Spain's Samuel Sanchez outsprinted Italy's Davide Rebellin for Olympic gold at the Beijing road race last weekend. Both riders were battling with equal weapons: The new DURA-ACE 7900 components that were introduced recently and that will be available to consumers by Autumn this year.

A great success for Shimano, completed by Fabian Cancellara from Switzerland who took the bronze medal, using a DURA-ACE 7800 shifting system.
